Gramado is known for its green landscapes, distinctive architecture and established visitor culture. Player wellbeing is a priority at College Soccer Brazil. Before arrival, families will receive clear information about accommodation, player supervision, local transportation, emergency contacts and health and safety procedures throughout the program.
A STRUCTURED RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM
The program is planned for September 2027 through May 2028, with a six-week break around the end of December. Players return home during the break and are expected back in Gramado on February 1. The program is planned to include residential accommodation, football coaching, physical preparation, two meals per day and breakfast groceries for players to prepare themselves.
Portuguese language classes are included in the program. The course is an important part of the student-visa process, although visa approval remains the responsibility of the Brazilian authorities. International flights, student-visa application and consular fees, and mandatory international health and sports insurance are the participant’s responsibility and are not included in the program fee. A copy of the medical insurance policy, including coverage for soccer training and sports-related injuries in Brazil, must be submitted at least 15 days before departure. Final services, schedule and participation conditions will be set out in the enrollment agreement.
DISCOVER GRAMADO
Set in the Serra Gaúcha highlands of southern Brazil, Gramado is known for its green landscapes, gardens, tree-lined streets and distinctive European-influenced architecture. Its four-season climate, parks, cafés and established hospitality scene give the city a character that feels different from Brazil’s major coastal destinations.
For an international gap-year experience, that means more than a beautiful backdrop: players can experience a new culture, take the Portuguese language course included in the program, practise the language in everyday life and build independence while following a structured football routine.
Gramado is an established tourism destination with restaurants, hotels, visitor services and attractions. CSB will focus on clear daily routines, responsible player supervision, family communication and practical wellbeing measures. Accommodation, transport, emergency contacts and supervision arrangements will be explained to families before enrolment is finalised.
NATURE & OPEN SPACES
Green hills, gardens, parks and the scenic Lago Negro offer a distinctive setting outside training hours.
A DISTINCTIVE CITY
European-influenced architecture, local traditions and a lively hospitality scene make Gramado a memorable place to experience Brazilian life.
PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE COURSE
Portuguese classes are included in the program, helping players build language skills for everyday life in Brazil. The course also supports the student-visa process; visa approval is determined by the Brazilian authorities.
A STRUCTURED ROUTINE
CSB will prioritise clear schedules, responsible supervision, communication with families and defined wellbeing procedures.
